Brandon Caldwell Chaney also known as DR.B or GALAXY B was born in the 1980's in Portland,Oregon. Deeply rooted in video games since birth he was born into a house with an Atari in the living room. As the years went by you would find a young B in the arcades playing all of the latest and greatest video games. As the video game console generation began to evolve from Nintendo to Playstation and others GALAXY B would grow along with them. After graduating high school in 1999, DR.B entered his first fighting game major tournament by the name of B5 in 2000 which was the precursor to the EVO tournament series. In just two years in he made his first highlight on the EVO 2002 DVD which he won a huge match against KSK of Japan making him one of the only USA players to beat a Japanese player that year. The very next year in 2003 he had a hair close match in Capcom Vs SNK 2 when he almost defeated Daigo Umehara the known fighting game God of all time landing him his 2nd EVO DVD highlight two years in a row.
Over the remaining years GALAXY B would play in all of the EVO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT series until present day.
Playing in a variety of games from Street Fighter 5, Street Fighter 4, Street Fighter 3 Third Strike, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Marvel Vs Capcom 3,
Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite, Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Soul Calibur 6, Tekken 7, and of course Capcom Vs SNK 2 we would see DR.B on main stage receiving many highlights including ones featuring celebrity fighting game community commentators like James Chen, Yipes, Skisonic, F-Word,and many more !
In 2018 GALAXY B would receive his fist EVO medal for 2nd place in the world in Capcom Vs SNK 2 also deeming him the #1 USA ranked player that year ! He would then win his first United States Regional Championship in Capcom Vs SNK 2 at NEC19 Video Game Championships in December of 2018 in Philadelphia. He would then go on to make Top 10 at EVO Japan 2019 in CVS2 and being the only American player in the Top 10 ranking. Continuing on a strong path of glory DR.B would then wave the Strike First Gaming flag as he proceeded to win 1st Place at FINAL ROUND 2019 Video Game Championship in Capcom Vs SNK 2. The medals and trophies didn't stop there as he would proceed to win a COMBO BREAKER 2019 medal for TOP 3 in Capcom Vs SNK 2 taking 3rd Place followed by a TOP 8 finish at CEO Fighting Game Championship at 8th place in Street Fighter 3 : Third Strike winning yet another medal. GALAXY B continued on to win a EVO 2019 medal for 5th place in Capcom Vs SNK 2 !
Present day DR.B GALAXY B is a creative force behind the scenes with Strike First Gaming creating new fun streaming experiences and social media content on Instagram, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud, & more ! He is currently creating a new music album set to drop in 2021 and has music videos & projects out on all digital platforms and Youtube.
